10\14\05 I love this picture. We were down in a cold spot so the boys look like they're freezing but it was pretty nice. We burned a lot of marshmallows that night! Posted by Picasa

Here's a picture of Seth helping Tony load up the pile of old wood and junk from 'project new porch' on 10/01/05. In case anyone's noticed, my life is SO exciting that I've only been posting once a week. Usually on Mondays, but Seth didn't have school(student holiday) so we had an extended weekend. We went camping Friday out at Lake Ray Roberts with Tommy, Amanda, and Christian. They were there 3 nights. Seth learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. It was a good time. Mom spent the night Sunday night. Seth was so excited. He tried to wear her out playing soccer & baseball. That was a lot of fun. Posted by Picasa

What a weekend. Saturday was a slow-starting day, we were all feeling sluggish. Tony got the rest of the old porch rubble hauled off to the dump. Now we are just waiting on the posts & the front windows & that project will be finished. And the joy of painting all of the eaves. Let's not forget that. We took Seth to Depot Days, he ran around with Christian for a while & had some fun. Then we went to look at Phil Reiter's house, it's really coming along. Tommy was helping him lay tile. After that we by Tony's sister's house, she(Connie) is redoing her kitchen right now. Tony & I visited for a while & Seth went outside to play with Shay, she's 10 now I think). Well, next think I now Seth is running in the house screaming & crying like crazy. Poor little guy. He was scared to death. They had been jumping on the trampoline and got carried away, & Seth went flying into Shay's knee. She had teeth marks on her knee, and his upper teeth and gums were bleeding. It was awful. His gums got all bruised up & his vampire teeth are loose now. We called Mindy Graham & she & Topher weren't doing anything so to the dentist's office we went to meet her up there. She checked everything out and perscribed some antibiotics & pain med for him. I think Seth finally understands why I always supervise the trampoline . He's so tough. I stayed at home with Seth & told Tony to go ahead and go to the races. He had a guy's day & it sounds like he had a good time. Seth sounded kind of dissapointed about missing out, but I don't think that those loud cars rattling his head woud've made for a very pleasant time. I told him that he didn't have to go to school today if it hurt, but he takes school and perfect attendance pretty seriously so he went. What a trooper. And today was a Reading Class day so we got up at 6. Ouch. It's really not so bad, but he had gotten up at 5 because of a bad dream, and he, well, let's just say that I have to push him to do everything. Repeating "time to get up", "time to get dressed", "your oatmeal's on the table", "you need to get dressed", "go brush your teeth"(right now he can only rinse, though),"hurry & get your shoes on" over & over & over sure does get old. Getting up & ready for school on his own is surely not one of his strong points. It's sort of surprising too, because he really likes school. It sure was cloudy this morning on the way to school. It's turned out to be a fairly nice day. Happy Monday.

When was my last post? I'm bad. I know, I know. I can't help it that my everyday mainly consists of the upkeep of 2 guys, a big un and a lil un. Seth started a reading class on Mon & Wed from 7:30-7:50, which means that I've got to have him up & ready for the day by 7 and at school at 7:25, 30 minutes earlier than normal. He's getting better though. And I'm just so proud of him. He had all A's on his 1st 6 weeks report card, & he's come such a long way. He's a sweetheart. Tony's been out on the road again, mostly taking shorter runs though so he's here most of the time. Amy and Brandon went with me to Sherman today, mostly goofin. We had a good time. Of course. Brandon fell asleep on the way to Muenster to pick up the boys. He was great until Matt & Seth got in and he had to fight for all of the attention. Turtle butt. The porch is finished & looks good, new front windows are on order. It's already made the house look better & I think it's going to look great when it's all finished. October's a fun month, & I can't wait for it to start cooling off. I think we're going to Ennis to watch the races Sunday. Seth hasn't been there before, I think he'll really love it though. Mom's birthday is the 18th, another reason to go shop, always good. Then there's Frightfest at Six Flags and we will be going, do I dare say it, KIDLESS!! So yeah, that'll be fun. Then Halloween. Good stuff. Seth wants a Power Ranger costume & I know he likes them but I'm not all about spending $40 or $50 on a silly costume. He did like the idea of wrapping up like a mummy, or painting his face & dressing like a zombie. I can't wait. We ( Me & Amy) are thinking about dressing up for Frightfest. I mean, why not act like kids if we don't have them, right? But if we don't that's fine too, because I don't want to be uncomfortable there. And we can always go to Halloween parties or haunted houses & dress up for that. Wow. I'm sleepy & officially in ramble mode. G'night.
