What a weekend. Saturday was a slow-starting day, we were all feeling sluggish. Tony got the rest of the old porch rubble hauled off to the dump. Now we are just waiting on the posts & the front windows & that project will be finished. And the joy of painting all of the eaves. Let's not forget that. We took Seth to Depot Days, he ran around with Christian for a while & had some fun. Then we went to look at Phil Reiter's house, it's really coming along. Tommy was helping him lay tile. After that we by Tony's sister's house, she(Connie) is redoing her kitchen right now. Tony & I visited for a while & Seth went outside to play with Shay, she's 10 now I think). Well, next think I now Seth is running in the house screaming & crying like crazy. Poor little guy. He was scared to death. They had been jumping on the trampoline and got carried away, & Seth went flying into Shay's knee. She had teeth marks on her knee, and his upper teeth and gums were bleeding. It was awful. His gums got all bruised up & his vampire teeth are loose now. We called Mindy Graham & she & Topher weren't doing anything so to the dentist's office we went to meet her up there. She checked everything out and perscribed some antibiotics & pain med for him. I think Seth finally understands why I always supervise the trampoline . He's so tough. I stayed at home with Seth & told Tony to go ahead and go to the races. He had a guy's day & it sounds like he had a good time. Seth sounded kind of dissapointed about missing out, but I don't think that those loud cars rattling his head woud've made for a very pleasant time. I told him that he didn't have to go to school today if it hurt, but he takes school and perfect attendance pretty seriously so he went. What a trooper. And today was a Reading Class day so we got up at 6. Ouch. It's really not so bad, but he had gotten up at 5 because of a bad dream, and he, well, let's just say that I have to push him to do everything. Repeating "time to get up", "time to get dressed", "your oatmeal's on the table", "you need to get dressed", "go brush your teeth"(right now he can only rinse, though),"hurry & get your shoes on" over & over & over sure does get old. Getting up & ready for school on his own is surely not one of his strong points. It's sort of surprising too, because he really likes school. It sure was cloudy this morning on the way to school. It's turned out to be a fairly nice day. Happy Monday.
